We are delighted to extend our warmest greetings to all attendees of the HKUEAA Annual Dinner 2025, celebrating the golden jubilee of the HKUEAA. This milestone event was held on 26 April 2025 at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong. It marked fifty years of excellence, commitment, and friendship within our vibrant engineering community.

While unforeseen circumstances prevented our Guest of Honor, The Honourable Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, the Financial Secretary of HKSAR, from attending, his heartfelt congratulatory message was delivered by Ir T. K. Chiang, President of HKUEAA. The Secretary praised the HKUEAA on her 50th anniversary, acknowledging her significant contributions to the engineering profession in Hong Kong. He emphasized the critical role of engineers in addressing global challenges and highlighted the importance of innovation and

resilience in shaping the future of both our profession and our city.

Ir Chiang continued to deliver his speech, reflecting on the remarkable achievements of the HKUEAA over the past five decades. He highlighted the Association’s enduring legacy and emphasized the vital role of fostering strong connections among alumni while promoting professional growth and innovation within the engineering community.

We were honored to welcome Professor Zhang Xiang, JP, President and Vice- Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong, who shared the latest development of HKU, including insights on how HKU is evolving to embrace the opportunities brought by recent technological advancements, reinforcing its role as a leading institution in engineering education and innovation.

A highlight of the evening was a captivating performance by Elisa Chan, also known as Miss Chan Chan. Her enchanting melodies brought a magical touch to the event, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our esteemed guests, whose enthusiastic participation made the evening truly memorable. Your presence contributed immensely to the success of the celebration. We also thank our sponsors for their generous support and acknowledge the invaluable efforts of our dedicated volunteers, without whom this event would not have been possible. Looking ahead, we are excited about upcoming events such as the HKUEAA 50th Anniversary Overseas Study Tour to the UK in June 2025, Musical Jamming at the Central Fringe Club in August 2025, and the 50th Anniversary Heritage Walk in Autumn 2025. We look forward to welcoming you at these events and continuing to celebrate this golden jubilee year together.

Until then, we wish you all the best in your endeavors and extend our sincere thanks for being a part of this unforgettable evening.
